About Us
Mornington Peninsula Library is made up of four service points and one Mobile Library, which visits 16 sites across the Peninsula.

Mornington Library

Situated in the heart of Mornington, this popular library is our largest and busiest service point. Mornington Library offers a unique experience with its award-winning design and cafe. Enjoy a coffee and a delicious snack while you read in the cafe, view the local art on display and let the kids enjoy the special children's area.

Rosebud Library

Situated in this picturesque holiday town, Rosebud Library has something for people of all ages. Residents can relax in luxury with a book in the Lions Club Den while the teen space and children’s area will keep the kids busy with computer games, magazines and a range of cool magazines and books.

Hastings Library

Come and visit the newly furnished Hastings Library. Whether you need to find information, use the internet or just need to unwind, the Hastings Library will be sure to please.

Somerville Library

Conveniently located in Somerville village, this cosy library has something for everyone - from special story times to free internet access.

Mobile Library

The Mobile Library comes to you, stopping at 16 sites across the Peninsula each week. Everyone is warmly welcomed aboard by our friendly and helpful staff. Find out when the Mobile Library is in your area to make use of this valuable service.
 


Sorrento Library Kiosk

A new addition to Our Library, the Kiosk at the Sorrento Community Centre has a computer with internet access and allows library patrons to order books online.

Choose from our great general range
Our Library has a large collection of materials for all ages. Large print books, talking books (on cassette and CD), magazines, DVDs, non-fiction CDs and an extensive fiction and non-fiction selection are available for loan.

We welcome your requests for particular books and other items, as many additions to the collection are based on borrower suggestions.


Standard loan period
The standard loan period is three weeks. If you would like to have an item for longer, you can renew it in person, by phone or over the internet. To renew your items over the phone, please contact your local branch.

Please note that DVD items have a standard loan period of one week (7 days).
