How to use Click and Collect

How to find items and place an order for click and collect 

  1. Search Our Library online

  2. When you find an item you want to read, watch or listen to, Click the Place Hold button. 

  3. Enter your library card number and pin. If you have forgotten your pin please click forgot my pin. 

  4. Select your preferred Library to pick up. 

  5. We’ll contact you* when your items are ready for collection.  

  6. Once we’ve contacted you, please visit your nominated library during opening hours with your library card and team member will collect your items for you (no bookings needed). 

*You can choose whether we contact you via email, SMS or if you don’t have access to these options, we can post your notification to you.  

To check and / or update your email 

  1. Go to Our Library online

  2. Click the My Account link at the top of the page 

  3. Go to the Personal Information tab 

  4. To check your current email, click the arrow next to your name. 

  5. If you need to change or add an email click the Edit button at the top  

  6. Change the information in the Email field, click the Save button at the bottom of the page 

  7. Double check and confirm changes by click Save 

To register for SMS Notifications.

  1. Go to Our Library online  

  1. Click the My Account link at the top of the page 

  2. Go to the Personal Information tab 

  3. Go to the SMS Notifications, and click the triangle 

  4. Click Add SMS Notification 

  5. Complete the form.  For the value Label please mark if it’s work or home.  

  6. Please tick what you would like to receive SMS for. We can send Hold Pickup notices via SMS at the moment, but we may expand the SMS service in the future. A manual message is if we need to notify you personally – for example if you have left something in the library.
