Libraries Reopen Friday 11 June

Published on 10 June 2021

We are pleased to announce that all our branches will reopen on Friday 11 June, for standard hours with density limits in place.

In line with the listed maximum capacity for Community venues, the maximum capacity for Hastings, Rosebud and Mornington is 50 people. Somerville will be 10 people as the density quotient overrides the count due to its smaller size.

Visitors will be asked to wear a mask and check-in using the Services Victoria QR code in line with State Government requirements. A team member can assist if needed.

With COVID-19 restrictions still in place, we continue to plan programs and events to help entertain, inform and engage our customers in these challenging times however there will be no regular children’s Storytime’s held in the coming week.

We will be hosting two Storytime’s on Zoom. Please book in at
What's On - Mornington Peninsula Library Service (

In the event that programs are unable to go ahead in-person as scheduled, some events will be converted to virtual events on Zoom, whereas others will need to be postponed until a time when in-person events are possible once more.

Any changes to how programs will be delivered and when, will be communicated directly to customers who have booked a place via our Eventbrite program listings.

Home Delivery will continue to be available for residents who require it.
Our library computers will be available for bookings.
