Mornington Library Courtyard

Mornington Library Courtyard will be undergoing construction from Monday 25 March. The children's area will be closed, and unavoidable construction noise will be heard throughout March, April and May. Storytimes will moved to our meeting rooms.

Our Libraries will be closed on Thursday 25 April for the ANZAC Day Public Holiday, return chutes will remain open.

Collection:  Quarantine Station comprises of quarantine equipment and machinery; medical artefacts; furniture and uniforms; domestic utensils; maps, photographs, assorted records and interpretive signage and brochures.

Fort Nepean comprises of remnant military battlements such as gun emplacements, barracks tunnels, ammunition magazines, an engine house and a bomb-proof room, as well as interpretive soundscapes, signage and brochures.

Open: Every day, selected buildings in the Quarantine Station open the public between 8:30am – 4:30pm, except Christmas Day.
