Author Talk with Kerry Tucker - Mornington Library - 21 May 2018
Recommended for adult audiences
The Prisoner is the inspiring story of a woman who turned her darkest hour into a turning point in her life; who rebuilt a life after prison and who today is an advocate for women's rights and improvements to the judicial and penal systems. A woman who has reunited with her daughters and uses her voice to speak for those who can't.
After spending four and a half years in a maximum security prison, Kerry Tucker was released with a Master of Arts. She went on to get a doctorate and to become a lecturer at Swinburne University. Kerry currently works for an educational institution in Melbourne and is a passionate advocate for educating women in prison.
