Recommended for children aged 7 - 10

Story Dogs is a fun and unique reading support program that improves children’s reading and communication skills by children reading to a trained companion dog and its handler.

When children read to a friendly, calm dog, the outcomes are amazing. Their literacy skills increase and their confidence soars. They have fun, are not judged and their focus improves.

Four 15 minute sessions will run between 4 and 5pm with limited places available on Thursdays at Rosebud Library. Children must be able to attend for 15 minutes on a weekly basis during school term and be accompanied by an adult.

The program will commence on Thursday 6 February.

Free, but bookings essential.
Please contact Rosebud library on 5950 1230 to register your interest and find out more about this program.

Note: There is no need to book a parental ticket, although we do expect you to remain with the child through the program.
If you can't make it on the day, please let us know.
