Very Snuggly Quilt Program - Rosebud Library - February
Next date: Friday, 21 February 2020 | 09:00 AM
to 03:00 PM
Victorian Quilters Inc. will be in the Rosebud Library making quilts as part of the Very Snuggly Quilt program.
No Bookings required. Please join us on the day.
The Very Snuggly Quilt program donates quilts to children and teens at the Royal Children’s Hospital who have life threatening illnesses. It is hoped that these quilts will provide some extra warmth and comfort at a difficult time.
Anyone is welcome to come along and help out on the day, whether it be for an hour or for the entire session. There are a range of tasks that you may assist with, so even if you don’t sew there will be something you can do. If you have considered doing patchwork but not sure if this activity is for you, this is an ideal opportunity to try without having to purchase any equipment or fabric. Please note that no experience is necessary.
If you are going to join Victorian Quilters Inc., you are invited to bring (but it is not a required):
- Sewing machine in good working order, machine hand book and a quarter inch foot (if you have one), extension lead and power board; or needles for hand sewing and a cushion for your chair. Please ensure that any electrical items that you bring have a current safety test tag attached.
- Bobbins / reels of thread that only have a small amount of thread left. Making scrappy quilts is the ideal place to use this thread;
- Sewing requirements (scissors, pins, etc etc).
