Learn new digital skills
Empowering our community to thrive in the digital world
Mornington Peninsula Shire Libraries are partnering with the Be Connected Network to deliver a program for residents over 50 years in the Rosebud and Hastings areas, who would like a little more help with their digital skills.
The program aims to educate older Australians on the digital world, including how to stay socially connected to family and friends. Participants will be able to gain confidence in navigating the internet and learn how to stay safe online by creating strong passwords and avoiding scams. The virtual short course commences Thursday 9 July and will also cover topics such as online shopping, using email, social media, search engines and online forms, downloading and saving documents, watching and listening online, video calling and online hobbies such as researching family history.
All classes will be accessed from the safety of your home using Zoom video conferencing. The classes will start at 2pm every second Thursday and run for about 45 minutes. To enrol in all or one of the following subjects please call the course organiser Liza Allitt on 0466 841 327. Don't worry if you are new to using Zoom Liza will talk you through how to connect.
