voices of whipstick.jpg

A tender and deeply moving novel, Voices of the Whipstick explores what can befall those who lose what they love most.

Set in the time surrounding WWII, this novel centres on the voice of Mick Tranter who lived most of his life in and around the Whipstick Forest, north of Bendigo before joining the AIF and being sent to the battlefields of New Guinea.

He tells his life story and struggles towards atonement during the frequent visits of the nurse assigned to his care.

Free, bookings essential.
