Intergenerational Art Program

Intergenerational Art Program

Art has the remarkable ability to go beyond age barriers and connect people from different generations together. Our Library's new Intergenerational Art Program aims to provide a platform for individuals to connect, learn, and inspire one another through creative expression.

Whether you are a seasoned artist or a complete novice, this program invites individuals of all artistic backgrounds to explore their creativity. Each participant can act as a teacher, mentor, or even grandparent/grandchild to those who may not have that tie at home.

Intergenerational Art Programs actively involve both older adults and younger generations, encouraging them to break down barriers and discover common ground through the universal language of art. Participants not only learn various artistic techniques but also help combat social isolation, find a new sense of purpose, and share valuable life lessons about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of community.

This program is recommended for children 7-13 and Seniors 55+
