Community Services Directory
Mornington Peninsula Libraries understand that times are difficult at the moment. The rising cost of living can make it seem like a never-ending struggle to make ends meet.
Our libraries are here to support you through these challenging times. One of the ways we do this is through the online database Ask Izzy.
This user-friendly database provides access to a wide range of support services in your local area. From assistance with utility bills and food relief to clothing packages and housing services, Ask Izzy has got you covered. With just a few clicks, you can find the help you need, right in your neighbourhood.
What is Ask Izzy?
Ask Izzy is a website that provides information on services that support people experiencing issues related to financial hardship, homelessness, family violence and other challenges. You can use Ask Izzy’s database just like Google. It is an easy way for anyone to find up-to-date information on the things you need most, close to home.
Ask Izzy can assist with:
- Food - something to eat
- Housing - a place to stay, housing issues
- Money Help - Centrelink, emergency funds, loans and more
- Support and Counselling - mental health, relationships, addiction
- Domestic and Family Violence Help - feeling unsafe, experiencing violence or abuse from a partner or family member
- Everyday Needs - clothes, showers, support and more
- Health - doctors, clinics, specialists
- Advice and Advocacy - legal issues, fines, representation
- Work and Learning - jobs, education and skills
The website also has a "quick exit" button at the top of the page which takes you to the Bureau of Meteorology homepage. This is a safety feature just in case you don't want anyone else to see what you are searching for.
