The Mornington Peninsula Shire Local Government elections will be held on Saturday 26 October 2024. The Mornington Peninsula Shire has assumed a caretaker role from midday on Tuesday 17 September until 6pm on election day. During the caretaker period, content will only be added to this website in accordance with caretaker conventions set out in our Election Period (Caretaker) Policy.

Originally from a small town, and a former Director of Wollongong Writers Festival, Hayley Scrivenor has a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Wollongong and lives on Dharawal country, on the east coast of Australia.

Her debut novel, Dirt Town, has been shortlisted for multiple national and international awards, won the ABIA, Davitt and CWA Dagger awards, and has been translated into several languages. Now, get ready to fall in love with her highly anticipated sophomore novel Girl Falling!
