Call Push Shock Learn how to use a defibrillator & CPR - Rosebud
Next date: Friday, 29 November 2024 | 10:30 AM
to 11:30 AM
Over 6,000 Victorians suffer an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest every year.
A cardiac arrest occurs when the heart suddenly stops, and immediate action is critical to save a life. For every minute without life-saving intervention, a person’s chance of surviving decreases rapidly. Tragically, only one in 10 people survive.
That’s why it’s vital that bystanders act quickly in the first critical moments of a cardiac arrest.
When a bystander performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), a person is twice as likely to survive. If an automated external defibrillator (AED) is also used, this survival rate dramatically increases from one in 10 to more than seven in 10.
If you’re ready, to learn more about saving lives and using the AED. Our Call Push Shock session is an interactive session that teaches you what to do in case of a critical event.
Free, bookings essential.
