2024 Council Elections

The Mornington Peninsula Shire Local Government elections will be held on Saturday 26 October 2024. The Mornington Peninsula Shire has assumed a caretaker role from midday on Tuesday 17 September until 6pm on election day. During the caretaker period, content will only be added to this website in accordance with caretaker conventions set out in our Election Period (Caretaker) Policy.

Join us for a creative workshop where you'll learn how to repair your favourite piece of clothing using fabric and embroidery techniques.

Whether it’s a tear, a frayed hem, or just a bit of wear and tear, we'll provide the guidance and materials you need to give your garments a fresh new life.

Bring your favourite item in need of some TLC and let's get sewing!

What to Bring:

  • A piece of clothing that needs fixing
  • Any old clothing or fabric you can use as scrap
  • Cotton threads, a sewing needle, and scissors (if you have them)

Don't worry if you don't have a garment to repair; everyone is welcome, and we’ll have activities for all skill levels!

Free, bookings essential.
