The Mornington Peninsula Shire has assumed a caretaker role from midday on Tuesday 17 September until 6pm on election day. Lady of History Janice Haynes presents the history of Lighthouses

Janice Haynes, The Lady of History, is a performer and presenter who will speak on the topic of ‘Lighthouses in Victoria’ including the history of lighthouses and stories of the lighthouse keepers and their lives, and information on Morse code, semaphore and signal flag.

Janice runs the Lighthouse tours and Museum program at the Cape Schanck Lighthouse on the southernmost tip of the Mornington Peninsula and she is also the historian and a presenter at the Cape Otway Lighthouse, and a presenter at the Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village in Warrnambool, as well as being the representative for Victoria on the Lighthouses of Australia Inc. Executive.
